How to do it:

1. Lay on ground or bed or which ever place lets you lay down.
2. Start moving your legs the we do in cycle. Do it 50 times by taking breaks if needed after 20 cycling movements.
3. Repeat cycling movement with legs opposite direction. Do it 50 times by taking breaks if needed after 20 cycling movements.
4. Then in laying position move your feet up like 2 feet up and down. Do it with one leg at a time.
5. Then in laying position move your both feet up like 2 feet up and down. Do it with both leg at a time.

Weight loss of tips – Swami Ramdev

  • Don’t Eat/drink too much sugar, Don’t drink coke/pepsi/cold drinks which contain 30% sugar, go for low sugar drinks or go forlemon juice without sugar or less sugar.
  • Don’t eat too much salt either it retains water in your body.
  • Do Kapalbhati more like 30 minutes by taking breaks empty stomach.
  • Don’t eat fried food, Chips, Pranthas, Pakoras, Samosa & patato called allo. Sabzi which has grease/ghee/oils. Go for boiled sabzi like Ghia, Loki, Tinde, Tori, Kaddu, Shimla Mirch(Green Pepper), green Beans etc. Eat Green Vegetables and Dont eat roti’s/breads too much it has lots of carbohydrates which makes your fat, If you have to eat roti, Roti has 2 sides annd you can easily turn one roti in to 2 rotis by tearing the thin side apart you can have feeling of 2 rotis from one.
  • Do cycling in real/or by laying for 50×2 times
  • Eat Salad before eating dinner/lunch meal as it will fill your stomach and you will eat less sabzi/roti

Does kapalbhati help in losing weight?

Losing weight by kapalbhati has been a question in the mind of every person who want to lose some weight by doing Swami Ramdev Yoga.

So Answer is YES only if you follow the guidlines below:

1. Do Kapalbhati with medium force. You have to put power in every stroke.

2. 1 Stroke(Kapalbhati) in 1 Second

3. Avoid Pizza/burgers and Soft drinks such as coke, pepsi and others. If you have to eat such things eat once in month and but eat just eat in small portion. It is easy to eat junk food but hard to get rid of fat on stomach which comes as bonus with junk food.

4. Avoid having heavy dinners. Best way is to avoid Roti/Chapati in home just eat vegetables(sabzi) which ment to be eaten with Roti/Chappatis. In this way you will not have any carbohydrates stored in your body which will eventully turn in fat while you sleep. If you resist Roti then take off the thin layer from above the Roti/Chapati. Make sure Roti/Chapati is dry (Without Ghee). You can still feel like you ate Roti/Chapati

5. Eat more fruits they are Yummy as well as healthy and fruits make you lose weight faster. They will also keep your skin younger.

6. Whenever you eat food take small sips of water with food. It has 2 benefits first the food will digest faster and you will full with very less food.

7. Avoid eating food while watching exciting movies and TV shows, people tend to eat more than what is enough.

8. Look at your stomach in morining, it will keep you motivated to work towards weight loss goals.

    As you said that one has to avoid roti as it contains far too much carbohydrates in it so can i eat rice in place of it? i normally eat two roti so if i have to cut it down to ONE ROTI then is it ok if i consume small quantity of rice along with a chapati?

    I am 21 and i bit overweight since 10 years and i am desperate to loss weight, i have recently started doing kapalbhati and alom velom and its proving to be beneficial to me mentally, how fast will i reduce weight if i keep on doing it, i generally do both kapalbhati and alom velom not more than twice a day, one in the morning and at noon time for 15 mins each time.

    Need suggestion, thank you.

    Baba never told this instead he said not to drink water between meals ……..just drink water after 1 hour for proper digestion……………………

    I eat daily morning 2 chapati Vagitable & one glass Namkeen Lassi Matha.

    & After noon 4 chapati & vagitable

    night 4 chapati & vagitable

    But my weight day to increase like Tyre of Truck only stomach

    Mornining i m 2 month continue doing yoga 1 hour butt not losse fatt side stomuch so i leave it.

    • It is very easy to get fat but it most difficult thing to lose fat from stomach.

      If you have most fat on your stomach, depression can be reason for that, Do bhramai, udgeeth as well for 20, 20 times. And avoid eating rotis, you should not eat more than 3 rotis a day, eat fruits or soups instead.

    Dear Friends,

    I too am struggling to lose weight. But, the first thing you MUST REALIZE is that weight loss is a slow procedure. Sure you can lose weight rapidly, but it is keeping it off that is the problem. Do all the pranayam, it will help in making you mentally fit and will also increase your metabolism.
    Equally important, one needs a balanced diet. It is easy to say, do not eat rotis or rice, but the truth of the matter is, for most of us, it will be difficult to do. If you eat rice, eat brown rice, eat thinner rotis without ghee. Remember, we gain energies from these foods, so we need to exercise to burn it !!!
    Do not go over-board with fruits, they too contain sugar. Above all, remember that moderation is the key to all of swamijis directions. You can not eat 20 oranges in a day and then wonder why you are not losing weight !

      Brother Abhisek, First of all the doctors are not GOD, so I would not blindly faith on what doctors say, Pranayam has saved people who were told by doctors that they were going to die. But they are living a healthy life and letting other know about pranayam.

      Avoid having sex until you get healthy as it puts extra load on your body and kidneys.

      Eat Organic diet.

      In morning drink a glass of water should be from TAP, not from plastic bottle as it makes water toxic.

      Then do Pranayams
      Bhastrika – 5 Minutes
      Kapalbhati – 15 minutes
      Anulom Vilom – 15 Minutes
      Bhramari – 20 Times.
      Udgeeth – 20 Times.

      Drink aloevera juice in morning and in night.

      Avoid drinking coke, pepsi or any carbonated drinks and They have lots of pesticides and carbon.

      Do meditation ask GOD that he gives you strength to fight your sickness.

      Remember, If you giveup mentally your body will giveup physically. If you fight sickness mentally and physically by Pranyam, your body will put full effort to recover.
