Anulom Vilom Pranayam

How to do it: Hold your right nasal of your nose with your thumb of your right hand, breathe in from left. Now close left nasal with middle and ring finger opening your right nasal and breathe out from the right nasal. Now breathe in from the right nasal. Now close the right nasal and open left and breathe out and in from left nasal. and keep continuing the same procedure again and again.
Duration : You should do it for atleast 10 minutes upto 1 hour maximum
Benefits : heart, high Blood Pressure, bent ligaments, sinual fluid reduced, parkinson, paralysis, neural related, depression, heart blockage, vat-cuf-pit, arthritis, cartilage, migraine pain, asthma, sinus, allergy etc.

How it makes your brain work/function better.

God has given us 2 brains, left and right they both work differently one is side Love/Passion/Creativity etc and other side is Logic/Reason/Objective etc. In simple words one side of brain is YES and other is NO.

Example: when you are about to get in morning, one side of brain says “Get up “  other side says “Sleep”, We make right decision when both sides are balanced and then you choose the right thing. If both brain are not balanced we cant make right decision.

AnulomVilom concentrates the oxygen flow to each brain side one by one. So we get more oxygen to both sides of our brain. Now you may question when we breathe oxygen goes to lungs of course it does and increase oxygen in our blood which still goes to brain eventually, But If you may have noticed the brain’s bottom is opened inside near nostril inside. So when we concentrate oxygen by closing one nostril, oxygen brain cells get stimulated making both sides balance.

      Yes Pranayam will help to make it normal,. including AnulomVilom it balances where it is not too high and not too low.

      I have been suffering from Sinusitis for 6years now and been taking homeo medicines after trying various forms of medicines. I started doing Anulom Vilom 2 weeks back, but after doing it for 10times, i feel more blockage in nose and difficulty in breathing. Also i feel very cold in my chest. Am i doing anything wrong…can someone advise/suggest pls?

          I am sorry but have got it all WRONG.Anulom vilom reduces the blood pressure but it also regulates the flow of blood and if you are suffering from Low blood pressure this will become normal.Several of my friends who had LOW BLOOD PRESSURE were practising this pranayam have benefited from Anulom vilom.One can safely conclude that this Pranayam corects any imbalance in he body if practised properly over a longer duration.For optimum benefits try anulom vilom continuosly for HALF an hour.

    If a person is already suffering from low blood pressure, he should avoid doing Anulom-Vilom until his blood pressure comes to normal by doing other yog practices because Anulom Vilom will further reduce the blood pressure.

      To turn the hair back from white or gray-drink wheatgrass daily. Also it’s important to give up sugar, white foods, poisins of all kinds (GMO foods, foods with pesticides, contaminated fish which is most, etc) and limit or give up animal foods, eat plenty of plants and at least 50% raw.     I suffer from allergies and thus nose is always blocked. In such a situation how can one do pranayams especially Anulom Vilom, Nadi Shodhan or even Kapalbhati. As I am keen to undertake regular practice any advice would be of great help. Thank You.

      Eat Awanla and take honey with milk for 1 month everday. And Drink warm glass of water in morning when you wakeup everday.

      Kapalbhati do it slowly it will put pressure on nose so do it slowly. Nose does not open, you can keep your mouth open and let breathe out. I am not sure if this is right way, but your stomach can still get benefit from kapalbhati.

        Thank you so much will try it. I do not tolerate milk very well but I have heard Baba Ramdev say that it should be taken with saunth, so will try it with honey and saunth in that case. I thank you once more.

    This is all new to me but I am very interested and excited in practicing these methods as long as I am doing the correct things.

        Chew 2 tab Muktavati empty stomach (1 hr before meal) twice daily for 2-3 months, you will see your BP coming down drastically. Your BP will come down to normal in 5 days. Keep checking your BP reglarly redce the dose if BP is going too low. Once it stabilizes then take minimum dose as required for maintenance.

    To reduce your blood pressure you can safely rely on Muktavati but not on Anulom Vilom.
    I used Muktavati for 10 months and gradually reduced the dose. Later when I left Muktavati and tried to remain on Anulom Vilom my BP strarted going up.
    Anulom Vilom is useless. You should only rely of Muktavati or use any other drug

      To control BP one should do Pranayam in morning 30 minutes for all
      Like
      1. Bhastrika – 5Min
      2. Kapalbhati – 15Min you can take breaks after 5 minutes
      3. Anulom Vilom – 10 Min you can take breaks after 5 minutes
      4. Bhramai – 5 Times

      Bhramari is very import to bring down stress. which casue High BP. Diet also play important part. If you green vegetables and have one glass of mixed fruit juice(home made) it can make big difference in few days in your overall health including High blood Pressure.

        I have been doing more than 30 mintes of the Pranayam in morning and evening. I have also been taking no salt, no fat and mostly vegetarian diet. My weight is very well controlled (sort of under weight) but I don’t agree that Anulom Vilom is helping me.
        When I take Muktavati regularly BP goes down to 110/70 and even lower. The side effect of Muktavati is Nasal Congestion which is highly annoying

          Muktavati is dangerous. I had a firied who took it with good results, but within a year developed heart blocakgaes that was diagnosed to this drug. I agree that you see immediate result with this, but please think for a minute, what can be in that drug that controls BP and yet is not world famous? It has no FDA approval and is very dangerous.

      Brother Arun, Do Pranayam in morning for 30 minutes for all
      1. Bhastrika – 5Min
      2. Kapalbhati – 15Min you can take breaks after 5 minutes
      3. Anulom Vilom – 10 Min you can take breaks after 5 minutes
      4. Bhramai – 5 Times

      You should be fine in 3 to 9 months. Eat Green vegetables and drink mixed fruit juice (home made) everyday for next 2 weeks and see you get benefitted.

    Hi,
    I am 35 yrs old and I really need your thoughts to improve my overall health and Blood Pressure and head/ left eye ache. I had done all sorts of scans MRI and MRA and no issues on the scan. Migraine also kind of ruled out but not fully. Ophalmologist said no issues in vision also. Still I am now living with my problem
    1. BP 145/95
    2. When the stress increases, the colour of the left eye changes to kind of reddish and pain also will be there. There will eb pain on the back of head, rightside of (behind) ear almost on the bone.
    Allopathic Medicine not of help to me eventhough it slightly reduces the BP.

    I started taking Mukta vadi and it REALLY started working in just 2 days!!! I also need to know what pranayam shd I take, what time (morning or evening) and whether after or before any exercise routines? Pls. do advice… Thanks a lot Krishna.

        Take Muktavati 1 tab morning and evening empty stomach at least one hour before meal. Also crush and chew the muktavati and swallow with water. It acts really faster.
        Keep watching your BP. It will come down within a week.

    i am aged 52 years male. Now a days I am feeling pain in joints while climbing steps. Is there any particular asan to be pracitsed to reduce /remove this difficuilty.
